The NOMIS-ISTA Fellowship Program at the Institute of Science and Technology Austria (ISTA) offers excellent postdoctoral researchers the freedom to work on questions at the intersection of two or more scientific disciplines in a unique scientific environment, while also providing the security of outstanding scientific mentorship from proven leaders in their respective fields. Tenure-Track Professorship in Partial Differential Equations for Contemporary Societal Challenges
We seek candidates with an outstanding research profile in applied or computational PDEs, who apply their expertise to address contemporary societal challenges. At the Faculty of Business, Economics and Statistics the University of
Vienna seeks to appoint a Full Professor of Statistics and Econometrics.
The applicant must have outstanding scientific qualifications and corresponding publications in highly ranked international scientific journals. The applicant's research is expected to further strengthen the Faculty of Business, Economics and Statistics as an internationally renowned research institution. The applicant is required to be an expert in the fields of statistics and econometrics. His or her research should focus on areas of modern statistics and econometrics like, for example, identification, causality, inference, prediction or data analytics in general for nonparametric models, time series, cross-sectional or network data, also in high-dimensional, high-frequency, and/or misspecified scenarios. Proficiency in modern data science methods and their applications would constitute a fitting addition to the profile. Interest in applications in the
faculty's research fields, in cooperation beyond the department and contributions to the university's strategic focus areas are expected.

PhD student position in Applied Analysis at the University of Klagenfurt within a project of the Austrian Science Fund FWF with
focus on Accelerated regularization methods for inverse problems.
Duration: 3 years.
Starting date: October, 2025.
Employment for 30 hours per week.
Monthly gross salary: about EUR 2700, paid 14 times per year.

• had their PhD degree awarded after June 30, 2022 (date of the official notification) or are about to receive their PhD degree; in this case the dissertation must already have been submitted (a confirmation must be enclosed). The fellowship may only commence, once the doctoral degree is awarded

• must not have resided or carried out their main activity (work, studies, etc.) in Austria since July 31, 2023.
